CHILLED

Chilled Cookies 'N Cream

Chilled Cookies 'N Cream is Crave's cold-format Oreo cookie, served chilled rather than warm. The cold temperature changes what the dough becomes: instead of gooey and soft, it firms into something between a cookie and a cheesecake base — denser, slightly chewy, with a texture that holds up to the cold toppings above it.

The base is a cookies and cream sugar dough with Oreo pieces mixed throughout. At warm temperatures this dough would be soft and yielding. Chilled, it firms into a texture that has more in common with a cold dessert than a fresh-baked cookie. The Oreo pieces inside the dough add crunch and the familiar cookies-and-cream flavor register throughout the structure.

Oreo-flavored frosting covers the surface in a thick layer. The frosting is cold and dense, with a distinct Oreo flavor profile running through it — sweet, slightly chocolatey, with the vanilla note that makes Oreo frosting recognizable. At chilled temperature, it stays firm rather than running.

Crushed Oreo is pressed into the frosting and scattered across the top. The crushed cookies add a different texture than the whole Oreo pieces inside the dough — finer, dustier, with a more even distribution of the chocolate and cream components.

Cold, creamy, Oreo from top to bottom. Summer is calling early.
